Description
 Provides assistance to victims of crime within the city limits of Ocala. Information on victims' rights and referrals for appropriate services are given. Responds in a 24 hour on-scene capacity to serve victims in crisis. Services: Community education on crime related topics; Crisis Intervention, Criminal justice support/advocacy; Information & referral; Personal advocacy; Court Assistance, Transportation; Victims compensation and injunction assistance. Domestic Violence Workshops are provided to the Community as well as Safety Workshops to address elderly issues. The "Assisting the Memory Impaired Program" provides a medic alert bracelet or necklace to identify a person with Alzheimer's disease or other memory impairment. We also have a 911 cell phone program for victims and the elderly.
